1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services of FlyHigh Aviation School ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Services Description
FlyHigh Aviation School provides flight training services including but not limited to:
- Private Pilot License training
- Commercial Pilot License training
- Instrument Rating training
- Multi-Engine Rating training
- Flight Instructor training
- Discovery flights
- Ground school instruction
- Flight planning and weather briefings
3. Student Requirements
To participate in our flight training programs, students must:
- Be at least 16 years old for solo flight (14 for gliders)
- Be at least 17 years old to obtain a Private Pilot License
- Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Hold a valid medical certificate (Class 1, 2, or 3 as required)
- Pass a background check for security purposes
- Provide valid government-issued identification
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation
4. Payment Terms
Payment for flight training services is required as follows:
- All fees must be paid in advance or as agreed upon in writing
- We accept cash, check, credit card, and bank transfers
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice
- No refunds will be given for completed training sessions
- Late payments may result in suspension of training privileges
- Returned checks will incur a $25 processing fee
5. Cancellation Policy
Flight training sessions may be cancelled under the following conditions:
- Weather Cancellations: No charge for weather-related cancellations
- Student Cancellations: 24-hour notice required to avoid charges
- School Cancellations: We will reschedule at no additional cost
- No-Show: Full charge for missed appointments without notice
- Late Arrivals: Training time may be reduced accordingly
6. Safety and Regulations
All flight training is conducted in accordance with:
- Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
- Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Manufacturer's aircraft operating limitations
- Local airport and airspace regulations
Students must comply with all safety procedures and instructor directions.
7. Liability and Insurance
FlyHigh Aviation School maintains comprehensive insurance coverage for:
- Aircraft hull and liability insurance
- General liability insurance
- Workers' compensation insurance
- Professional liability insurance
Students are responsible for their own personal injury and property damage insurance.
8. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
- Maintain professional behavior at all times
- Respect instructors, staff, and other students
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Arrive prepared for each training session
- Complete assigned homework and study materials
- Report any safety concerns immediately
- Maintain sobriety during all training activities
Violation of conduct standards may result in dismissal from the program.
9. Academic Progress
Training progress requirements:
- Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Regular attendance is required for successful completion
- Students must pass all required written and practical tests
- Additional training may be required if progress is unsatisfactory
- Students may be placed on probation for poor performance
10. Equipment and Materials
Students are responsible for:
- Providing their own headset (available for rent)
- Purchasing required textbooks and study materials
- Maintaining personal flight logbooks
- Providing appropriate clothing and footwear
- Returning any borrowed equipment in good condition
11. Termination
FlyHigh Aviation School reserves the right to terminate training for:
- Failure to meet academic or safety standards
- Violation of conduct policies
- Non-payment of fees
- Failure to maintain required medical certification
- Any other reason deemed appropriate by management
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through:
- Direct communication with management
- Mediation if direct resolution fails
- Arbitration as a final option
- Legal action only as a last resort
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
